A Major Key to the Kingdom
Greetings my people, today's feature is Addis Best. It is a label that was adopted years ago, describing a work ethic that he strives toward. At first this was only a cool name, now a quality, that He press' to achieve. Addis Best is more of an artist by nature. It began in the churches of Newark N.J. at about the age of 6. He took a liking to music and never looked back. At first he sang, then was introduced to Rap in '84. This was his earlier experiences with Hip Hop, as a Beat Boxer. He never wrote a lyric until '91, when he joined Sez ? Who. Since College in '95, he began performing songs to larger audiences. He cyphered, and became acquainted with New Jersey Celebrities where, he observed operations closely. As a student of The Institute of Audio Research as well as the LA Film School, he incorporated Jamaican Roots with Gospel Melodies to Hip Hop, creating a Genre Fusion called "Ragga Boom Bap".
